Back to the grind

Last week was such a busy week, yet, not a busy week.  If that makes sense.  There was so much going on but I didn't get a lot done.  We've been dealing with "the sickness" off and on for a few months.  One person will have it, get better and then pass it on to someone else.  It is a vicious cycle that just keeps repeating itself.

Laundry had been piling up.  In addition to it piling up, the washer had some sort of "smelly funk" going on inside of it.  I love having a high efficiency washer but it certainly gets smelly fast.  I was a on a laundry strike because it seems like nobody knows how to bring down the laundry except for me.  Okay, that part isn't true; it just feels like it sometimes.

By Thursday, I had laundry caught up and the house was as clean as the deep clean we gave it for Annika's "Rockstar" birthday party on Sunday.  When I say this, it makes it seem like I had plenty of time for soap operas and bon bons.  It doesn't work that way, though.  I had appointments to go to; lab tests to be done.

It's true when they say "a mother's work is never done." It's not. I am not saying that I deserve a medal or that I have it harder than any other SAHM out there; I don't.

I wanted to make it Zumba last week since I hadn't made it the week before.  Clearly, that didn't happen.  And now it's back to Monday again.  And, I'm forcing myself to go.  I feel a lot better after I've worked out and hopefully it will clear out some of the sinus issues I'm having.

After Zumba, I'll come back and finish my laundry.  And put Lo down for a nap.  And, maybe I will also take a nap.

Ahhhh... All in a day's work.
